{{connected contributor}} RidingEasy Records is an American independent record label established in 2013[1] in Hermosa Beach, Los Angeles, California by record collector Daniel Hall.[2] They have released records from Blackout, Blackwater Holylight, Danava, The Death Wheelers, Dunbarrow, Electric Citizen, Here Lies Man, Holy Serpent, Mick’s Jaguar, Mondo Drag, Monolord, Old Man’s Will, The Picturebooks, R.I.P., Salem’s Pot, Shooting Guns, Slow Season, Sons of Huns, Spelljammer, SVVAMP, Spiny Normen, The Well and more[3]. They are particularly well known for releasing Brown Acid, a series of compilation albums[4] featuring undiscovered, or 'lost' recordings of "hard rock, heavy psych and proto-metal" [5] bands from the 1960's and 1970's.[6] Launched in 2015 [7], the Brown Acid series is a partnership between RidingEasy and Permanent Records [8], currently in it's sixth volume. HistoryRidingEasy Records was originally named after the Jimi Hendrix song Easyrider, but changed their name to RidingEasy after receiving a cease-and-desist letter from Easyriders Magazine shortly after launching.
