|text=Rita’s poetry has fascinated me for years now, since I first translated her poems into Romanian in 2007 and have continued to do so. Several of her compositions have appeared in Romanian Literary Journals with eminent literary figures of Romania. Her writing is full of sense and sensibility besides colour, mystery, love and elements of Indian Mythology.

|text=As the Hungarian translator of Dr. Rita Malhotra's poems I found her poetic works very profound, sensitive and open. Though all these are interlinked, by openness, I simply mean how she uses the form. She mostly writes in free verse, often without punctuation and with the mentioned sensitiveness, this gives us the very idea that these lines are emerging from a self-constructed eternity; profound in its own right..

|text=Rita Malhotra is a poet of love of the genre of Kamala Das, albeit more restrained and subtle and therefore powerful. Her aesthetic longing played in a tough game of chess; her cry for a violated girl; her love for the earth, water, air, sky and stars put her in the category of greatest contemporary women poets of Indian subcontinent. Her craft is that of a master sculptor who turns stone into a flawless figurine.'

The creative genius of Rita is chiefly visible in her poems of love, nature and man-woman relationship where she is both candid and confessional without any inhibition on her part and where she expresses her notions in simple, genuine and human style, displaying a rare emotional maturity, combining tenderness, passion and emotions.
