As he has grown in popularity, Sharpe Music.[1] has taken over distribution. Richard Curry aka Ritchie Remo was born on 25th November 1980 in the village of Claudy[2] County Londonderry, Northern Ireland. As of January 2017, Ritchie has recorded 8 studio albums (including 1 he recorded with his dad), 1 live CD and 1 live DVD. CareerRitchie was born and raised in the countryside in the village of Claudy, County Londonderry, Northern Ireland. He attended school locally and grew up with two older sisters, Rhonda and Nichola. All, but his mum, was musical and played a range of instruments between them. After leaving school Ritchie attended the local technical college where he studied engineering. He went on to start up and run his own business – RC Services. Whilst running RC Services, Ritchie was out gigging with his dad most nights and realised that is where his passion belonged – on the stage. He took on more work through RC Services to pay for his dream, to go on the road with his own big band on the Irish country scene. In 2013 his dream was fulfilled. His debut album, Fiddlin Around[3] which contains 5 self penned songs, set the barrier for other Irish country singers as Ritchie played the fiddle on most of the tracks himself. The album has a very 'Irish' feel to it. Ritchies second album, Hot Country[4] which contains 3 self penned songs, was so sought after that the self penned title track of the album was used as the intro for the very popular country music show, shown on sky, Hot Country[5]. This album also includes a gospel medley duet with Tony Kerr[6] In 2013, Ritchie recorded and released an album with his dad as the Father & Son band, the album which was called 'Album' is all covers of popular party tracks. Ritchie and his dad added their twist to a few of the songs. This album has the feel good party vibe. Ritchies fourth album, Don't Look Back[7], contains 8 original songs, all of which were huge successes at all his dances. This album still continues to sell today. His fifth album, Roadtrip[8], containing 5 original songs, was the turning point in his career, he soon realised he had a huge following from the Younh Farmers[9] and dedicates this album to them. Ritchies 6th album, Live In Concert[10], was recorded in front of a live audience in Limavady[11], County Londonderry, Northern Ireland. It was released in December 2014 and contains a selection of Ritchies hits over his impressive career. The concert was filmed for a Live DVD[12] which was also released at the same time. The 7th album, Hit The Diff[13], was his biggest selling album to date. It contains two no.1 tracks – Hit The Diff[14] and Honey I'm Good[15]. Ritchie managed to turn Hit The Diff from a folk song, written by Martin Mone Music[16], into a country classic which has now been played worldwide. Honey I'm Good was originally written by Andy Grammer[17] and was a no1 on the pop charts but again Ritchie managed to make it a no1 on the country charts with his own musical arrangement. Ritchie went on to record a Christmas album, Home For Christmas[18], as his 8th studio album. This album includes all the family favourite Christmas songs and 2 which Ritchie himself wrote with his good friend Eugene McCauley. Ritchie launched onto the country scene with his big band in 2013 and hasn't looked back since, playing in all the popular dance venues in the North of Ireland and now taking the South of Ireland by storm. Ritchie has also been invited to sing on country music holidays in the sun in Spain and Portugal with Paul Claffey Tours[19]. Ritchie has headlined some of the biggest music festivals in Ireland including Cowboys and Heros[20], Ballinamore (Leitrim), and The Jamboree in The Park[21], Fintona (Tyrone). He is also set to headline one of the biggest country rock festival, Saladru[22], Spain. Charity ActivitiesIn February 2015 Ritchie released his "Tell Her[23]" single and donated all monies made to Marie Curie Cancer Unit[24]. In June 2015 Ritchie took to the sky for a charity skydive[25] and again all monies raised went to Marie Curie Cancer Unit. Discography
