The Park Hotel Kenmare in Ireland commissioned Andy Mackay to write music for their Deluxe Destination Spa, SÁMAS. Andy lived in Kenmare for some time following the Avalon tour ended in 1983 and a regular guest of the hotel. SÁMAS Music for the Senses is based on the last recording of Roxy, Tara. It comprises of 6 tracks, Sunrise, Bluebell Wood, Blackwater, Coral Strand, Purple Mountain and Valley of Seduction. It features musicians Andy Mackay on Sax, Oboe and Keyboard, Julia Thornton on Harp, Lucy Wilkins on Violin and Chris Spedding on Acoustic and Electric Guitar. The album was recorded in The Studio Klive and Studio One London. References |
