While studying Theater and Journalism at the American University in Cairo, Sarrah got her first role as the female lead actor in the 2009 blockbuster 1000 mabrouk. In 2011, As she was finishing her studies, she posted a video blog on youtube that got 50 thousand views in 48 hours making her one of the first Arab female vloggers. She then moved on to writing and creative direction in advertising, until she decided to get back to acting in 2017 with the role ‘Heba’ in the hit series Sabea’ Gar. Sarrah has since been making headlines, most recently by wearing a top made of plastic on the red carpet of the Gouna Film Festival for environmental awareness. She is currently back to making videos on her channel ‘sarrahsworld’ and she continues to choose ground breaking acting roles on TV and in film.
