Sedge Garden is an unincorporated community between Winston-Salem and Kernersville. It's name originally was 'Sage Garden' due to the abundance of sage plants in the area. Soon these plants decreased in numbers and ironically enough, sedge plants began to fill the area. People then began to take on the name Sedge Garden in return.
