She earned a Master's degree in Healthcare Administration in 2005 at the University of Minnesota[1] and eventually started singing in her father's Band, Plan B. This decision led her to desire her own group and in 2010 she created the Sena Ehrhardt Band.[2] CareerHer debut album, Leave the Light On, was produced by Andrew Crowley in 2011 which was picked up by Blind Pig Records.[3] Sena was then nominated at the 2012 BMA's for "Best New Artist Debut". She was also nominated for Blues 411's award, "Best New Artist Debut Recording" and Blues Blast Magazine's award for the "Sean Costello Rising Star Award".[4] Her second album, All In, followed in 2013 and the album peaked at #12 on the Billboard Blues charts on July 20th, 2013.[5] As a result, in 2014 she was a nominee for the "Blues Artist of the Year (female)" at the Living Blues Awards. Going back into the studio in 2014, Sena focused on her third album, Live My Life. This album was backed by a new band and produced by Grammy-winning producer David Z. [6][7] InfluencesSena Ehrhardt grew up listening to the blues from her father, Ed Ehrhardt, who was always playing guitar in bands.[2] During that time her parents took her to many all-ages concerts where she was able to see acts like B.B.
