The Singapore Watch Club (Abbreviation: SWC) is a horological society in the Singapore. Objectives of the ClubFounded on 31 October 2015[1], the Singapore Watch Club is one of the world's leading horological communities today. [2] The objectives of the Club remain: to promote all aspects of watchmaking, horological appreciation, and social activities through an active calendar of events. Based out of the iconic Fullerton Hotel [3], the Singapore Watch Club meets monthly, and regularly organises private events in collaboration with the top luxury and artisanal watchmakers. [5] SWC Anniversary ProjectsSince its second birthday in 2017, the Singapore Watch Club partners up with a different brand annually to design a limited edition timepiece in commemoration of the Club's anniversary. The 2017 creation was with Ulysse Nardin[6] and Singapore retailer The Hour Glass, based on the Classico Grand Feu Enamel model. The 20 piece commission features a never been done before black dial, made the traditional way: applying black enamel powder mixed with oil and water on a copper base, then firing it in a kiln at a temperature of 800°C to 1200°C, resulting in a deep, lustrous black surface that never fades. The dial also featured a red “II” at 12 o’clock, a reference to the second anniversary of the club as well as the white and red national colours of Singapore.
