The story is set during the Japaneses occupation of Korean in 1940 telling the story of 16-year old Kim-min and 20-year old Han-hee. From now on, Kim-hee, Han-min, and the others must only use Japanese since speaking any other languages is punishable. In the brothel, the girls are each given only a tiny room with a bed and an endless flow of soldiers coming for 10 minutes each. The servicemen mistreat them and beat them. Many have sadistic tendencies. 'Comfort women' are trying to cope with their situation, while some lose their sanity while others try to stay sane. One day，a high-class leader got venereal disease and he commanded soldiers to kill all of girls in a rainy night with swords. Their blood flow everywhere and it made soil become red.
