After publishing a few collections of poems he ventured into writing lyrics for various Bengali movies. Eminent singers like Ram Kumar Chatterjee and Sri Kumar Chatterjee sang spiritual songs written by Sen. Since the year 2000, he started directing television serials and telefilms while he continued to pen lyrics. Starting with the serial, Hasir Foara, he is noted for introducing Bollywood actor Sharad Kapoor in a Bengali serial, namely Jiboner Kolorob. His first venture, Hasir Foara was a runaway hit. The cast of the serial consisted of leading names like Shakti Thakur, Paran Banerjee, Nimu Bhowmick etc. Later on, Projapoti, another serial became even a bigger hit. Till date he has made near about 70 telefilms, many of which have been broadcast on reputed channels like DD Bangla, Tara Bangla etc. Filmography
