History

South Wellington Intermediate School was established in March 1948 and after being rebuilt was officially opened by Hon.R.M.Algie.LL.M (Minister of Education) on the 20th day of March, 1957.

The administration block was opened by his excellency Sir Paul Reeves (Past pupil 1938 - 1945) on the 16th day of November, 1990.

The remodelled classroom block was opened by Hon. Wyatt Creech (Minister of Education) on the 1st day of August, 1996.[2]
