Sriram Vedire is a software engineer turned Indian politician. Appointed as the adviser to the ministry of water resources, river development and Ganga rejuvenation in the year 2014, he continues to be the Chairman of "Rajasthan River Basin and State Water Resources Planning Authority. Sriram Vedire has led successful projects like "Mukhyamanthri Jal Swavalamban Abhiyan, or as it is called "MJSA" to make the water scarce state Rajasthan become self- sufficient in water resources management.^[1]

Personal Life

Before joining BJP, Shriram Vedire has worked as an Engineer in USA for over 15 years. Currently serving in Rajasthan and leading "Mukhyamanthri Jal Savalamban Abhiyan" project belongs to the state of Telangana. ^[1]

Work

An Engineer by profession, Sriram Vedire chose to serve his nation after working for 15 years in the top MNC's in USA. Serving as an adviser to the Ministry of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation, Chairman of Rajasthan River Basin & Water Resources Planning Authority, he is also currently a member of the Task Force set up by the Rajasthan government on ‘integrated command and catchment area development’.

Besides his work in the government sector, he is also a successful author who has written books on Water Conservation and Water Management Systems in India. "Gujarat’s success story in Water Management", “Water Grid for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh using Rivers Godavari and Krishna” and “Innovative Water Management Practices Indispensable for India” are some of his mostly acknowledged books.^[1]
