Strings and Bling is the second studio album by South African Hip hop artist Nasty C. It was released on 6 July 2018 by Universal Music. It succeeds the release of Bad Hair Extensions (2017). The album includes guest appearances from A$AP Ferg, Kaien Cruz and Rowlene. Nasty C also addressed in an interview with Zkhiphani that there's a mysterious appearance "if you listen carefully".{{Infobox album

Background

According to Nasty C, this album is very personal as it signifies his growth in the music industry and as a person in general. It is the first album released by him under Universal Music.

"The Strings part of the album just means guitar elements on the album and every other string element actually, instrument wise. Also, strings means connections that I have with people, special connections that I have with my mother and whatnot. The Bling side of it is just me being a bit more spontaneous and just having fun with it. It's a very important album to me as a person because I worked on it around a time I was working on myself as a kid growing and I made sure that when you listen to my album you can hear the growth and you can hear me going hard on the album".

Release and promotion

In the late months of the year 2017 (October), Nasty C unveiled a promotional campaign for his upcoming album Strings and Bling. Nasty C asked his fans to design an Artwork of him pregnant. In 2018, he released two singles King and Jungle.On 23 June 2018, Legendary was released for pre-orders prior to the release of the album.
