Sukhnidhey Films is a media production organization based in India. The organization was founded by Rituraj Devaang Jain (aka Devaang Jain) and documents heritage, archaeology, art, and culture across the world through films, photography, and literature, which have been recognized by UNESCO, the National Geographic, and the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). Sukhnidhey Films has been creating heritage conservation awareness about historic, cultural, and natural heritage sites in schools, showcasing their films to school children and the youth.[1][2]

The organization shot to fame with their TV show series "Bharat Darshan: Exploring the Unexplored" (52 episodes, 2012-13), "Jambudweep: A Journey Through Incredible India" (52 episodes, 2014-15), and "Highway: On The Road" (13 episodes, 2016-17), which were broadcast on Doordarshan (Indian National Television). Sukhnidhey Films' works have also appeared on the Science and Discovery channels.

Awards & Recognition

Rituraj Devaang Jain, the founder of Sukhnidhey Films, is one of the youngest filmmakers and producers in the country. In 2016, the Ministry of Culture, Government of India rated Rituraj Devaang as the only 'Outstanding' filmmaker in India, recognizing his endeavors. His works have been used to showcase Indian heritage and culture in the Festivals of India.[3] [4]

Rituraj Devaang Jain represented India at the World Heritage Young Professionals Forum organized as a part of the 42nd session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee in Manama, Bahrain, helping draft the declaration to the UNESCO World Heritage Centre in Paris. He emphasized the importance of considering "the multiplicity of stories inherent in our heritage and document(ing) them in an engaging manner," which was incorporated into the declaration.[5] During his presentation at the UNESCO forum was showcased the film "Ranthambhor: The Untold Saga", documenting the archaeology of the ancient Ranthambore Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site in India.[6][7][8]

The films and TV show series produced by Sukhnidhey Films have been screened and awarded at film festivals including the Rassegna Internazionale del Cinema Archaeologico, Rovereto, Italy[9], the Women's Oscars, Los Angeles, Hollywood, etc.[10]

The photography of Rituraj Devaang has also appeared on the official homepage of the Ministry of Environment, Forests, and Climate Change, Government of India.[11]

Sukhnidhey Films' documentation of the ancient Indian archaeological sites and monuments have been incorporated into the archives of the National Monuments Authority (NMA) of the Indian government.

Films for Heritage Conservation Awareness

Sukhnidhey Films has been actively working to raise awareness towards heritage conservation.[12] The organization has been screening their films on heritage, travel, art, culture, and archaeology for school children and the youth in schools and universities across India. Sukhnidhey Films has also been working with the Center For Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT), New Delhi, and the Archaeological Survey of India, organizing film screenings and interaction sessions with the youth in educational institutions. Their works have focused on familiarizing schoolchildren with their local heritage, archaeology, and culture and the importance of stories and cultural narratives that are often overlooked and untold.

The organization produces research films for the Archaeological Survey of India, the apex archaeological organization in the country for the documentation of ancient archaeological sites and heritage.

Sukhnidhey Films' films and TV shows have appeared on Doordarshan and the Science/Discovery channels. The first TV series, "Bharat Darshan: Exploring The Unexplored" documented ancient historic and cultural sites across India. "Jambudweep: A Journey Through Incredible India" showcased unexplored locations in the country with its episodes "Talkad: The Curse of The Queen", "Chand Baori: The Mystery of Abhaneri", "Unforgettable Himachal", "Ajanta Ellora: The Caves of Magic", and "Ujjayini: The City Divine".

The Team

Sukhnidhey Films is led by Rituraj Devaang Jain, Ajay Jain, a senior fellow of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India,[13] and Vidhu Jain (Vidhu Rashmi Jain), a Uttar Pradesh Tourism empanelled writer and content/branding strategist. She is recognized as an art, history, and travel domain expert. Vidhu has been writing scripts for the films and TV shows produced by the organization.
