Tanzania Zamani is a historical journal of the Historical Association of Tanzania (HAT) and the Department of History at the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania (http://journals.udsm.ac.tz/index.php/tz). The journal began in 1992. The journal is internationally recognized appearing mainly in print format accepting historical essays, articles and book reviews on issues pertaining to the Tanzania's past. The Editor-in-Chief of the journal is Yusufu Q. Lawi, a Boston University trained environmental historian. Its Deputy Editor-in-Chief is Bertram B.B. Mapunda, a University of Florida trained historical archaeologist. The editorial team is filled with three other positions: first is the Managing Editor post held by Albertus K. Onyiego. Onyiego is a University of Dar es Salaam trained precolonial historian. Second is Samuel Mhajida, a Göttingen University trained historian who works as First-sight Manuscript Editor. Last is Frank Edward, a Darmstadt University of Technology trained historian of technology. He works as a Book Review Editor and journal's international solicitor. Tanzania Zamani releases two issues per year. Some of the prominent historians who have published their articles in Tanzania Zamani includes Isaria N. Kimambo and Juhani Koponen. References |
