}} Tarek Kaszim aka TAREKNERUDA is born in Budapest, 12 November 1965 and is a Hungarian director/cameraman/editor. Made in first film No. UNO in 1983 at the age of 18. His major interest is to understand the role, the possibilities and the limitations of the individual in a community. To understand our role and the motivation that moves us through our life. Reasons. Passions. - From 1986 to 1989 Tarek Kaszim studied years linguistic and theatre history at the University of Gdansk, Poland. Then worked from 1989 and 1995 in the Hungarian film industry as assistant director, cameraman and editor as well as producing, writing and directing his own films.- Between 1999 and 2009 Tarek collaborated on several projects of the Italian filmmaker Stefano Odoardi both in the Netherlands and in Italy. I produced, filmed and edited his projects like THE LAND THAT IS NOT, THE LAST REEL, THE EARTH IN THE SKY and UNA BALLATA BIANCA.In the same period worked on several projects of filmmakers and dancers like Betsy Torenbos, Sytske Kok or Karim Traidia. These productions included not only narrative and dance films but some educational and anthropological projects as well. Since 2003 Tarek works closely as camera assistant and editor with Moskito Film an Amsterdam based company with award winning features and documentaries. Filmography - 1983 NUMERO UNO, short film

- Hungarian dance group TranzDanz as cameraman and editor making their visual
- backgrounds for theatre productions, but we also produced several dance films like

- Europe and in the US on film/music-festivals, as well as in museums (MoMa).
- 1992-93 I was running a cinema for the local community on the outskirts of Budapest which
- also gave place to my film-festivals like FILMS FROM THE MOON and INVISIBLE FILMS,
- but also served as location for two of my documentaries at the time like
- MUSIC IN MOTION, a film about an alternative band in Budapest and
- CRY AND SILENCE, about the famous/infamous Hungarian film-maker Miklós Jancsó.
