Welcome to Wikipedia page of team Termites and Turf Toe!Team Termites and Turf Toe are adult indoor soccer teams playing in amateur league organized by NetSports in RTP area, North Carolina, USA. This page presents various information about the team such as history, emblem, accomplishments, photos, game videos, and players. Indoor Game RulesIndoor game requires one referee and 6 players on each side,i.e., a goal keeper plus five field players. There is no limit in substitution. A game has two halves. Each half is 23 minutes and there is 4 minute half time break in between. Size 5 standard soccer ball is used. No sliding or tackling is allowed. There is no side-line out or goal-line out. Thus, there is no throw-in. As games are played in a walled-in arena, it is allowed to bounce the ball off the wall. If the ball hits the safety net, a free kick is given to the opponent team. There is no offside rule, but there is 3-lines rule instead. If the ball is kicked from behind yellow line to beyond yellow line, a free kick is given to the opponent team on the yellow line. Indoor SeasonsThere are 5 seasons - Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter I, and Winter II. Spring and Fall seasons have 10 games per season. Summer and Winter seasons have 8 games per season. Game schedule is announced before the start of each season. Team BudgetTeam revenue comes from players' fee for team registration. We regularly order new team uniform. Turf ToeHistory of Turf ToeIn June 2012, captain Tom gathered a group of players and formed a team named "NS Summer Squad". That name was given by NetSports. After playing several seasons in men's over 30, we moved the team to coed league. Tom came up with the current team name "Turf Toe" at that point. NetSports database shows team record only from year 2014, so it is unclear exactly which season we switched to coed league. We will add more information to each season below. 2. TermitesHistory of TermitesTeam Termites started in January 2015. We started an email thread at NetApp looking for people interested in making a team to play indoor soccer at NetSports. Players from NetApp are: Jun, Matt, Getnet, Vikas, David Klem, Neil, Pushkar At the same time, we gathered our friends in RTP area who showed interested in playing indoor soccer. These people are: Son, Huh, Hyun, Inyong, Suyoung Plus, we added a couple of good players via friends and through craigslist. Kong, John(GK), Guri, Roderick, Derik Among the founding members, these players are still playing as of Spring 2017: Jun, Pushkar, Kong, Son. Suyoung played for Termites until 2016 and moved to outdoor TASL league. In 2018, he is running as a referee. Hyun moved to team Falcons. John plays for Loco Ocho these days (and Real Mediocre until 2017). 3. Termites BlueHistory of Termites BlueTermites Blue plays in men's over 30C league. 4. Termites RedHistory of Termites RedTermites Red plays in men's over 30C league. 5.
