She is known primarily for her work on Broadway, in particular originating the role of Cady Heron in the workshop of Tony-nominated musical, Mean Girls, where she is currently a standby for the roles of Cady, Janice, Gretchen and the adult females (Mrs. Heron/Ms. Norbury/Mrs. George).[1] EducationOriginally enrolled at DePauw University Indiana, in the school of music for vocal performance, where she attended for two years. Boyich transferred to Kent State her junior year to follow vocal coach Jay White as he took a position as associate professor in the university's music department.[2] At both DePauw and Kent State, Boyich was a member of the Delta Gamma sorority.[3] Boyich's first lead in a college production was performing as Mother in Ragtime in her junior year at Kent State.[4] Boyich has also performed in productions of Joseph and his Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (wife), Lady Windermere's Fan (Lady Windermere), Urinetown the Musical (Little Becky Two Shoes) and Little Women (Amy March).[5] CareerBoyich first met composer and Kent State alum Jeff Richmond when he was the keynote speaker at her 2013 graduation ceremony. Richmond, husband of actress Tina Fey, needed a female vocalist and reached out to Kent State faculty for recommendations. Theatre professor Terri Kent recommended Boyich, as Richmond needed someone "who could sing any style... and not intimidated to be working with Tina". Boyich recorded a number of demos, including the theme song, for a show intended for NBC under the working title "Tooken", which eventually became the Netflix series Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. She recorded the female vocals for the opening theme as well as the various female vocals for seasons 1-3.[6][7][8] Boyich maintained her professional relationship with Richmond and Fey, and was eventually brought on to test and record demos for their workshop of Mean Girls. Boyich is currently making her Broadway Debut in the Original Broadway Cast of Mean Girls as the standby for Cady Heron, Gretchen Weiners, and Adult Women (Mrs. Heron, Mrs. George, Ms. Norbury) at the August Wilson Theatre.[9] Boyich is also featured on the soundtrack for the short film The Parker Tribe which was shown at the 2015 Tribeca Film Festival.[10] She recorded the theme song and interludes for the pilot of Cabot College[11], music for Great News, as well as various other television and movie projects in the pre-production stages.[12] Boyich is a member of the Screen Actors Guild. Broadway DebutOn March 19th, 2018, with both primary and understudy actors out sick, Boyich made her Broadway debut as Janice in Mean Girls -- a role she didn't understudy -- with only 3.5 hours to learn the role. Those 3.5 hours only involved 90 minutes on the stage learning blocking, 30 minutes of music rehearsal, and the rest was devoted to costume fittings, hair fittings and makeup application.[13] Personal LifeTee lives in New York City with her Australian fiancé David Peterson. Together, they have a dog named Butters (Australian sherpherd).[14] Tee is a vegan, environmental activist, and is open about suffering from anxiety disorder.[15] Tee plays the piano and ukulele.[16] References1. ^{{cite web |title=Tee Boyich – Broadway Cast & Staff {{!}} IBDB |url=https://www.ibdb.com/broadway-cast-staff/tee-boyich-515828 |website=www.ibdb.com |publisher=Internet Broadway Database |accessdate=7 January 2019}} 2. ^{{cite web |last1=VanHoose |first1=Benjamin |title=Theatre alum lends voice to Netflix series, upcoming ‘Mean Girls’ musical |url=http://www.kentwired.com/latest_updates/article_b513f226-01b7-11e6-987f-63ac85e1a444.html |website=Kent Wired |publisher=Kent State University |accessdate=7 January 2019}} 3. ^{{cite web |last1=Gamma |first1=Delta |title=Today, alumna Tee Boyich is taking over our Instagram Story!
