释义 |
Teech was a subscription-based education app launched in 2015 by University students at the time: Neil Saada, Mathias Pastor and Milo Rignell. It allowed students all over the world to connect to teachers, stylised as "teechers", for help on individual questions or even other questions submitted by other users. Teechers using the platform were all members of leading universities, such as |University of Oxford|, |University of Cambridge|, |London School of Economics|, |Stanford University|, |Imperial College London| and |MIT|. The app only featured in the iOS App Store. The trio showed off their idea originally at a TEDx talk event in ULC, and it was received with a pleased audience. However, despite the app being successfully recognised by a wide variety of organisations, in June of 2018 the trio behind the company filed for a proposal to "strike off". The app was subsequently removed from the |App Store| and all operations ceased. In October 2018, it was rumoured the company's assets would wholly be acquired by a group of teenagers: Ubayd Khan, Anup Ramesha, Rico Mann, and Robert Remi. Under this new group, the app is said to undergo a 'radical redesign of the structure of the app', and 'account for a wider demographic of students', in an effort to be more 'meaningful and helpful to students all around the globe - no matter their level or ability'. There is no information on when this app will go live. References |
