Tetsuya Tada is the head of Toyota's Sports division, as well as the Chief Engineer of GAZOO Racing Company GR Development Group. ExperienceTetsuya Tada was born in Niihama, Ehime Prefecture. He graduated from the Aichi Prefecture Ritsuichi High School in 1975, and graduated from Nagoya University in 1979. After a short time in a computer system venture company, in 1987 he joined Toyota. After involved in the development of ABS systems, in 1993 he went to Germany, responsible for developing the chassis control system. In 1998 Tetsuya was transferred to the department of product planning. He was responsible for the development of the first generation of Fun Cargo, bB, Passo, and Ractis, as well as the second generation of Toyota Raum. In 2007 he transferred to the Sports division, and was working on all aspects of the planning of sports models. In 2010 he became the ZR Chief Engineer of the Sports Car division, and in 2011 he became the ZR Chief Engineer for the product planning division. And in 2012, he saw the debut of Toyota 86, the sports car that's co-developed with Subaru. By the year 2014, he was also the division head of the Sports Car division, therefore managing Toyota's entire sports car lineup. After earning the achievement of co-developing 86/BRZ with outside company, he wen on to be responsible for the GR Supra, which is co-developed with BMW and will go on sale in 2019. Personal
