}}The Association of Castles and Museums around the Baltic Sea (ACMBS) is a non-political and non-profitable organisation incorporating castles and museums located in the nine countries around the Baltic Sea. Its goal is to promote mutual cooperation between institutions with close ties to their nations' history and cultural heritage.[1]

The Association provides a platform for teaching and learning amongst museum professionals from similar castles and museum collections in which its members can meet, create networks and exchange their knowledge and ideas. Once a year the Association organises a General Assembly in one its member castles or museums, allowing participants to address key issues related to the six pillars of the Association:[2] [3] [4]

  • Research
  • Education
  • Restoration
  • Management
  • Marketing
  • Tourism

Additional conferences, seminars and board meetings are regularly hosted by member castles and museums.[5]
