Hughes was 17 years old when he started his main channel.[11] CareerAwesomeSaucefilmsAwesomeSaucefilms was the first YouTube channel created by Hughes, but deleted for disturbing content such as mocking the pornographic video "2 Girls 1 Cup". TheBajanCanadianHughes created the TheBajanCanadian channel in 2010, and uploaded a video on that channel for the first time in 2011. Throughout the year, Hughes branched out into Let's Plays, mostly experimenting with Minecraft modifications.[12][13] The channel achieved 100,000 subscribers in August of the following year. Hughes devoted his channel to Minecraft in September, and achieved 1 million subscribers on December 22. In 2013, he once gained over 175,000 subscribers in just under a week.
