The Foreigners (band) The Foreigners formed a group in Guangzhou in 2016, and four young people with different personalities came together for the simple idea of "seriously trying to play a rock band". Their music is based on British rock and is heavily influenced by alternative rock and noise. [1]Classic English guitar phrases, lithe psychedelic timbre and clear and fluent melody, the accent of retro, youthful breath composed their music. Their music is heavily influenced by every style. The guitar mainly plays some simple riff. We also like to add a lot of sound walls to our songs like the shoegaze band. While the rhythm section, drummer and bassist are all love metal and heavy music, they also incorporate strong and powerful drums and a relatively complex bass section. HistoryThe Foreigners was formed in Guangzhou in 2016, composed of drummer Kaihao, guitarist Tiansang, Bassist Arikawa Shinpei and Muxia on vocals. The original idea for the band came from lead singer, Muxia. He had an experience studying in Japan, where he was influenced by rock bands such as the Oasis. After returning China, he met Arikawa Shinpei, a Japanese living in China in a barber shop by chance. The two people reach an agreement and decided to form a band. Muxia was the lead singer, kawakawa the bassist, and guitarist Tiansang formed the original the Foreigners. In August 2017, they released their first EP, 《don't go back》 and toured Guangdong Province in September; From October to November of the same year, they released the popular singles "If You Stay" and "Junky" successively, which were listed on the new song list of Netease Cloud Music, and gained strong response and praise, becoming the new artist who cannot be ignored in the south China indie rock scene. [2]After that, Bassist Arikawa Shinpei back to Japan, the drummer Kaihao and new bassist Zhenyu joined the Foreigners. Since then, the Foreigners has stabilized and embarked on its own national tour. In addition to performing at livehouse across the country, they also attended several music festivals. This experience brought them into the eyes of rock fans across the country who had only a small reputation in the south. On March 31, 2018, the band's first full-length album "(Ending Of The) Start" was released online and offline simultaneously. In July, they officially started a 16-stop national tour, followed by a tour of Xining, Lhasa and Kathmandu. The Foreigners officially signed with Modern Sky on Nov 16, 2018, and launched its first official single 《From Nowhere to Home》, warming up for the upcoming full-length album, 《21st century maladjustment syndrome》.[3] Band MembersVocal------ Muxia (2016- present) Bassist------ Arikawa Shinpei (2016-2017) Bassist------ Zhenyu(2017- present) Guitarist------ Tiansang (2016- present) Drummer----- Kaihao (2017- present) Performance & Album2018.7.14 Kunming Five Hundred Miles Music Festival 2018.7.21 Chengdu 2018.7.22 Chongqing 2018.7.27 Xian 2018.7.28 Shijiazhuang 2018.7.29 Beijing 2018.8.1 Haerbin 2018.8.3 Tianjin 2018.8.4 Qingdao 2018.8.5 Rizhao 2018.8.9 Hangzhou 2018.8.10 Nanjing 2018.8.11 Suzhou 2018.8.12 Ningbo 2018.8.17 Xiamen 2018.8.19 Nanchang 2018.8.25 Xining Star Music Festival 2018.9.02 Lhasa 2018.9.24 Kathmandu 2017.8 《Don’t go back》 2018.3 《Ending Of the Start》 2018.11 《21st century maladjustment syndrome》 References |
