TheTechGame also known as "TTG" is a technology and gaming resource community. The sites content is predominantly focused on the Video game industry,[2][3] TheTechGame acts as a source for the distribution of Homebrew (video games) and Saved game downloads. It is one of the largest gaming modification websites on the web.

History

TheTechGame began as a hobby in March 2009 by Sean Day, known within the forums as "Sean",[4] reporting news about forthcoming Call of Duty [5][6][7] game releases before quickly expanding to cover console gaming platforms such as the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3.

TheTechGame has broken several stories, including the Australian police raid on next-generation Xbox Durango leaker [8][9] The leak of the Xbox One Software development kit onto the Internet [10][11], and the Xbox Live Microsoft Points Exploit.[12][13][14] It's stories have appeared on MTV[15], IGN[16], Polygon (website)[17], The Verge [18], Eurogamer [19], The Independent [20] and others.

Website structure

The website offers news, downloads, forums, tutorials and videos as well as a Shoutbox. Over 2,200,000 users have registered for the forums,[21] making over 5,000,000 threads and 30,000,000 posts [22] as of August 2018.

Forums

TheTechGame features a vast forum of diverse topics ranging from Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo consoles but also covering PC Gaming, general discussion and entertainment. TheTechGame's forums are heavily monitored by moderators who follow the communities set code of conduct.[23][24]
