| 释义 | The Tipsy Scholars are a foremost Australian indi/folk/rock bank, formed in Canberra in 2014. Duo Lead Singers James Kelly (Sydney) and Conagh McMahon Hogan (Bathurst) met through Joel Shapero (Sydney- Bass Player) at a Toga Party in the Australian National University. What started as a friendly jam , quickly turned into a professional career for the boys who shortly after picked up Alec Brinsmead (Drummer) at a music festival they had all been performing at. The band is famous for its live show is oft described as "intriguing and fun". The band released their debut single Looking Glass in 2015 which topped the Triple J Unearthed Charts. The Tipsy Scholars grew a loyal fan base through this first release and subsequent touring. They later released 'Daydream Author' and '1960s' which continued to push their careers along. In 2018 the Tipsy Scholars released their debut EP 'Nowhere To Be' which saw them placed on heavy rotation on Triple J Unearthed. Off the back of this they toured internationally, selling out their live shows across Australia, The United Kingdom and Ireland.
