He moved to Hong Kong with his parents in 1975, where his father was the Asian managing direction of the Swiss Watch Federation. There, Dubois developed an appreciation for watches and branding. He attended the University of Lausanne. CareerAfter graduating from the University, Dubois founded a company known as Promo Services Ltd, to promote Swiss watch brands in Hong Kong, China, and India. He held two exhibitions in Hong Kong to showcase Swiss watch brands.[3] From 1992 to 1996, Dubois held annual exhibitions in Shanghai, and in 1994, he organized the first international exhibition of Swiss watch manufacturers in India.[4] Dubois published The Swiss Watch Buyer’s Guide, with the French publishing group Hachette to promote Swiss watch brands.[5] While promoting Swiss watch brands, Thierry befriended Swiss Watch Federation’s president, François Habersaat. Dubois was then hired by FH Promotion Ltd and was later promoted to managing director of Asia-Pacific after the retirement of his father in 2001.[2] Since 2015, Dubois has been an active member of the International Trademark Association's Asia & Pacific subcommittee.[6] He co-founded Ten Thousand Generations Foundation to aid underprivileged children and their families who work in factories producing fake products in China by prioritizing education.[7] See also
