[5] The festival has been running for 12 years and general admission is free to the public. [6] HistoryThe only documentary film festival in Texas, the event is a project of the Texas Filmmakers, formed from a UNT student group in 2004. As there were no documentary festivals in the state, Texas Filmmakers decided its festival, scheduled that first year in the Campus Theatre for Labor Day weekend, 2007, would feature only documentaries and observe the “thin line” between fact and fiction.[7] [8] [9] {{Quote|text= Thin Line started off as this idea of: what is a documentary?
