It was designed by William Levitt. It is located wholly within Falls Township, Bucks County Pennsylvania. It is believed to be the second section of Levittown to be developed and occupied in 1952 after the Stonybrook Section. The land occupied by Thornridge lies in a triangle bounded by New Falls Road, formerly Newportville-Fallsington Road, Fallsington-Tullytown Road and Penn Valley Road. The land was a dairy farm that was located in Fallsington. It lies a half mile from Fallsington, and shares the 19054 Zip Code. There are 734 homes in Thornridge. 711 of them are the Levittowner Model. 23 are the Jubilee Model. Thornridge is the 6th Largest Section in Levittown. Thornridge has an actual ridge at the top of the section, whereas the lower portion of the section is flat. The name of the section, while never confirmed officially from any Levitt sources, is most likely a simplistic reality of what Levitt surveyors found. Thorn bushes on the Ridge. |
