Latisha Shenaye Howard professionally known as Tisha Howard (born April 3, 1985), is an American singer and songwriter popularized by her 2010 female anthem, "[https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/you-are-single/361775473 You Are]", written by Howard as an ode to a former lover.^[1] "[https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/you-are-single/361775473 You Are]" became a widely requested breakthrough single at Norfolk, Virginia, radio station [https://103jamz.iheart.com/ 103 JAMZ/WOWI] at that time. The song also aired on [https://www.nsu.edu/wnsb WNSB HOT 91.1] FM in Norfolk, and Mediabase reporting station KTCX in Beaumont, Texas.^[2] Hailing from her hometown of "757" Hampton, Virginia, Howard has been recognized as an authentic presence on the Virginia music scene.

Early Life

Howard grew up surrounded by music, singing in her church choir and reveling in the music of R&B and soul standard bearers such as Mary J. Blige and India Arie. ^[2]

Musical Career

Howard was signed to Universal Records in 2010. She described her former deal with Universal as a great accomplishment and credits her management, dj's and mostly her fans^[2].

Howard took a six year hiatus from recording and recently returned to the studio releasing new single "[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eSHcuazkJIc Reasons]" reminiscent of a 90's R&B classic with a sample of Faith Evans "[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eSHcuazkJIc Reasons]" in her prime. Howard is now an independent artist.
