Too Faced is a successful makeup company, founded in 1998 by Jerrod Blandino and Jeremy Johnson. The company started by Jerrod wanting to play around with makeup and create his own products, behind the counter at Estee Lauder. Founder's Background

Too Faced co-founders, Jerrod Blandino and Jeremy Johnson, got their start by working behind a makeup counter. Jerrod was previously working at Estee Lauder counter, as well as Jeremy had his time behind the counter. Armani and Chanel worked at Estee Lauder as well, working one-on-one with customers. This allowed them to see the transformational effect on women and men. Their idea was to bring a makeup line that brought back joy to the rule-ridden makeup industry. They wanted something that was bright and beautifully made. By being extremely passionate about this company, they have come out with a business that came from  credit cards, extreme focus and passion, and lots of time, that was extravagant and a company to celebrate and empower women with their products.Too Faced was founded in 1998.

To this day Jeremy is still making new business strategies, while Jerrod is working on new makeup products to continue to inspire and empower women and men.^[1]

Beginnings

Too faced was the first company to make a glitter eye shadow. This is how Blandino describes what he was thinking during the process of the first glitter eye shadow: "I was in the lab creating a black matte eye shadow, and across the room was the lip gloss area, and there were these little jars of glitter along this insane wall. I was like, 'Oh, oh, I want this!' So I ran over and grabbed a jar of glitter, and I brought it over to the lab lady who was pressing the eye shadow, and I said, 'Put this glitter in the eye shadow, because let's change the world.' And she said, 'It won't work because we need more binder,' so we put in more binder, and we put the silver glitter in the black eye shadow, and bam! The first glitter eye shadow. It was called Ooh And Aah and that is where it all started for them.^[1]

Production

Blandino’s passion and love for animals also helped him create more and more products for the company. Soon after his brand new line of brushes came out called “ Teddy bear brushes."^[2] He says that “ You don't have to hurt and animal to be beautiful!”^[3]Too Faced has always been a makeup industry game changer. They are inspired and committed to their loyal every-day customers. Too Faced also includes Glamour Guides in all of their palettes to show easy but beautiful eye shadow tutorials for beginners and more advanced makeup artists. They also don't test on animals, and are completely cruelty-free. Even their brushes aren't made with real hair, they are super soft synthetic fibers carefully placed and put together individually. Too Faced is against animal cruelty, and thinks that it is disrespectful. To add onto these amazing products, most of their products are paraben free and they have an extended amount of paraben-free products. They currently ship to the United States, Canada ,Mexico,Ireland, United Kingdom.^[4]
