词条 | Draft:USED CLOTHING/SECONDHAND CLOTHING BUSINESS IN PAKISTAN? |
释义 | Second Hand/Used clothing has turned out to be a worldwide business. Almost in every developing country, this business is being practiced. For me, secondhand clothing is not only a worldwide business but it’s a small world itself. According to some sources, In 2017 Pakistan was the leading importer of used clothes worldwide (https://www.statista.com/statistics/533210/used-clothing-leading-importers-worldwide/). So this shows how well this business has grown over the years in Pakistan. There’s so much to do and learn in this business. Hardly anyone can claim or declare that He/ She has complete knowledge about this business. This Business consists of more than 200 exportable items of Secondhand Clothes which are largely exported to Africa. In order to make these items, there are certain mandatory equipment’s which are required such as a conveyor belt, Trolleys, Cages, Drums, Packing machine, and tools etc. Further equipment such as lifter is required for warehousing and loading/unloading. A used clothing business necessarily requires both capital and labor-intensive production. The production area is divided into different stations. The customer base of secondhand clothing market is usually extremely cost-conscious and often promotes the ideologies of environmentalism. Secondhand clothing, after all, is the recycling of used or unwanted clothing and trading of used clothes between customer and supplier saves a huge amount of unwanted clothes from landfills. There is wool named “Cashmere”, the word cashmere is an old spelling of Kashmir. The Cashmere sweater is the most expensive and most demanding item of used clothing business. The average price of 1 Kg of cashmere sweater is around RS (PKR): 2500-3000. Cashmere wool comes from specific goats only. On average one Cashmere sweater is made from ten Cashmere goat’s wool. That wool which grows naturally in the body of goats can protect those goats from cold as much as -40 degree. Indeed HE (ALLAH) is the Protector, the Praiseworthy. Apart from used clothing factories, there are also many online and retail markets of used clothes in Pakistan. These markets are gradually growing every year. In earlier days wearing used clothes was considered as an embarrassment but now the trend has changed and people enjoy wearing used clothes. Used clothes are ideal for those who wish to wear branded clothes but cannot afford them. One great way to save money is to purchase used clothes. Its distinctive quality, durability, and tempting looks make them worth buying. Secondhand clothing is still more of a necessity than a choice for some countries. Anyone can visit Karachi export processing zone to get further information about this business as many factories of used clothes are located in KEPZ. I am not a professional writer; I just wrote this for those who are willing to learn about this business and had few or no knowledge about it. Thanks to Express Tribune for publishing my article and helping me in this noble cause to spread knowledge. Indeed someone has truly said that “Gaining knowledge is the first step to wisdom and sharing it is the first step to humanity”. Written by: Zain Bhojani |
