Vera ViolentVera Violent is an Irish rock band formed in 1985 in Waterford, Ireland by singer/guitarist David O'Sullivan, bassist Brien O'Sullivan and drummer Alan Fitzpatrick. The band was initially active in live performance between 1985 and the early 1990's. Patrick Burke joined to play keyboards for some live performances in early 1993. David O'Sullivan has continuously recorded under the his own name and the name Vera Violent since 1989. In 2017, a new line-up of the band started rehearsing and playing live again in Sligo where David O'Sullivan had relocated in 2014. The new line-up includes Paula Hannon on bass and Jason Geraghty on drums. Under the names Vera Violent and David O'Sullivan, the band has published music on MySpace, Bandcamp, Soundcloud, FaceBook and recently on Spotify, iTunes, Google Play, Amazon and other streaming services. The latest release from the band is "For Those Outside", a 9-track digital-release-only album released in February 2018 containing songs from a number of musical periods over the past 33 years. |
