Wilson made a significant contribution to the work.[1] and this was acknowledged by Jefferys in a speech at the University of Leicester[2], I would also like to thank my technician at the time, Vicky Wilson, who saved DNA fingerprinting by rescuing a key ingredient of the technology that I had thrown into the bin in a fit of pique. She said, "No Alec, that's not a bright idea", and without realising it, rescued forensic DNA.Wilson's role in the work was acknowledged by her inclusion on two academic papers about their work on the discover of DNA[3][4] Wilson was portrayed by Lydie Rose Bewley in the 2015 docudrama "Code of a Killer". CareerWilson worked at the University of Leicester in Department of Genetics and Genome Biology as a technician until 1998 when she started work in the Division of Child Health, Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the School of Medicine at the University of Nottingham.
