Prof Victoria Nakiboneka Mwaka is a Ugandan born Professor in Economic Geography,politician and activist. Professor Victoria Mwaka started her carrier in 1969 as a secondary school teacher at Luweero Secondary School. She served in Luweero Town Council in different capacities. Professor Victoria Mwaka is passionate about teaching girls in her retirement.^[1] She was the lead researcher in the Liberia research study and was previously Member of Parliament for the District of Luwero. ^[2]

Professor Victoria Mwaka was one of the 10 women at Makerere University who were recognized for their academic excellence, which enabled them to climb the ladder to rank of professorship, an achievement that had, until recently, been held by only men^[3].
