}}Wael Al-Masri (born 1959 in Kuwait) a Jordanian architect from a Palestinian descent (Jerusalem), and Egyptian distant ancestry, who seeks to create what he calls “hybrid architecture” that reflects the dynamic cultural identities of Arab and Muslim societies today, who seek to preserve their local roots and aspire at the same time to belong to a wider global perspective.
