White Rooster is a non-profit company, formed in 2001 by Ruth Lawrence, Sherry White, and Adriana Maggs, with a mandate to produce and promote theatre works by women writers with a focus on Newfoundland women.[1] In 2011, White Rooster Presented "MonaRita", by Shannon Bramer, at the LSPU Hall in St. John's, featuring Ruth Lawrence and Sarah Tilley, under the direction of Sherry White[2]. This production later played at the Bathurst Street Theatre, in Toronto, ON, as part of the Toronto Fringe Festival[3]. In 2015, White Rooster presented "Hunger" by Meghan Greeley at the LSPU Hall in St. John's, and which featured Meghan Greeley, Greg Malone, Jamie Mac, and Marthe Bernard, under the direction of Michael Waller[4].
