Will Hunt (William Eric Hunt - Born September 2 1997) is a British Racing Driver who races in the Radical SR1 Cup (2018-2019). in his first racing season of 2018, he finished the season 3rd overall and won the Radical SR1 Cup Rookie Championship; an inter-series competition for first time drivers.[1] Early LifeBorn in Brighton, Sussex, Will grew up in nearby Hurstpierpoint where he went to school at Hurstpierpoint College before finishing his final College years at Brighton, Hove & Sussex Sixth Form (BHASVIC). [2]Racing CareerOn 23rd May 2014, Will took part in the 'Lets Race 2 Reality' competition set up by a local Racing Simulator center and endorsed by Carlin and The Henry Surtees Foundation founded by father and Formula 1 and English Grand Prix Driver John Surtees. Will progressed to the Semi-Finals of the competition where he beat over 30 drivers in a Karting Race at Buckmore Park. Following the event Will focused his time on School work thus not perusing his Motorsport Career until a later date.[3] In February 2017 Will tested the British Formula 4 in Albacete, Spain with Scorpio Motorsport where he set the fastest single seater lap time in his first outing. This momentum continued on and in October he tested for the first time the Gen 2 Radical SR1 Car at Rockingham Speedway where he announced he would be competing in the 2018 Radical SR1 Cup With Scorpio Motorsport.[4] During the season, Will enjoyed success from the offset achieving a double podium on his first ever race weekend at Oulton Park, the same weekend shared with the British GT Championship as well as the British Formula 3. By the end Will achieved 3rd overall in the championship and Won the Rookie Cup.[5]
