Wladyslaw Turzycki (May 15,1840- November 19,1918)- Polish illustrator, poet, novelist. Inventor of The twenty-syllable, intertwined with The eighteen-syllable. He was born in Bzdziochy where he has spent all his life.His the most important works are[1]:
In 1865 he married opera singer Emilia Dobrowolska, with whom he had two sons Nikodem and Stanislaw. She died due to heart attack in 1876. She became an inspiration for Turzycki to create a picture Fat lady under tree and poem Soft hills of pleasure. Turzycki died on November 19, 1918 after a long fight with pneumonia. References |
