{{AFC submission|t||ts=20181127134202|u=Progsper|ns=118|demo=}} About The YN27 Rock Mining Drill is based on a rock mining drill by Pioneer. The rock mining drill design papers of the Pioneer 120 was sold and opened up for Chinese manufacturers. One of the stated reasons for the sale of the design was noise and pollution. Today the YN-27 Rock mining drill comes in several versions. Versions There are five main versions. They differ if they have breaker functionality, anti vibration and air pump. - YN27 - Rock drill without breaker function (Might be a A version).
- YN27 A - The main body is designed in metal
- YN27 C - This is a cheaper version that has plastic covers instead of the metal used in the A version and has breaker function
- YN27 J - The J version has a switch to change from drill to turn it into a break hammer
- YN27 T - This model has anti vibration handles
Technical spesifications The technical spesification between the models are listed as the same. Highlights is shown in the overview below. Model: YN27-C Weight: 27 Kg Dimensions: 746*315*229 Mm Tank Capacity: 1,65 L (Said to use 8% oil mix being equal to ratio 12:1 gasoline / oil ratio) Max drilling Depth: 6 M Shank Size: Hex 22*108 Mm Construction The device consists of three main parts. - Air compressor:The hammer piston and engine piston are mounted seperately in the upper and lower part of the cyllinger and are moving up / down syncroniously.
- Engine: Single cylinder and two stroke petrol engine with air cooling. The engine uses a high percentage oil in the gasoline.
- Rock drill: Consists of a shank with several supporting components. It uses Hex 22*108 mm.
Starting procedure This rock drill has a special procedure for starting: - Fill the gasoline tank (makes it easier to start as more presure in the gasoline tubes).
- Open the Choke fully (when cold, if warm might not need choke).
- Open the fuel valve completly.
- Pull the starter cord until it starts. Usually 5-10 times.
- It is often a good idea to lett it run until warm once started. Once warm, adjust the fuel screw so the mixture of air/fuel make the engine run smoothly.
- Once the engine is hot and adjusted it is ready for use.
Troubleshooting If trouble (may be of help, when the machine is cold and flooded): - Turn the choke OFF
- Give full throtle
- Pull the starter cord until you hear the engine "cough" or start for a second.
- Start from basic again with normal choke and so forth.
