Young Professionals Forum is a non profit and interdenominational initiative[3] created as a result of the vision of Pastor William Kumuyi, the general Superintendent of Deeper Christian Life Ministry, to stem the tide of unemployment in Nigeria, help youth on the journey to self discovery and provide a fostering platform for young professionals that are passionate about excellence. [4]BackgroundThe vision to create the Young Professionals Forum by William Kumuyi started in 2011 but was formally birthed in 2017. This culminated to creation of meetups across Lagos Nigeria and also the skills acquisition program (SAP) that produced a lot of success stories[5][6].[7] Empowerment InitiativesSkill Acquisition Program (SAP)The Young professionals forum organised it’s first intensive skill acquisition program in June 2018 where it trained over 300 students in various skills ranging from Digital Marketing, urban and hydroponic farming, web design, mobile application, photography and video editing, event planning and interior design, pastry and mixology, and graphics design and branding The Skill Acquisition award ceremony[8] took place at the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, New Headquarters, Gbagada Lagos[9] Success StoriesThe Young Professionals Forum’s Skill Acquisition Program produced a lot of success stories.
