| 释义 | Youssef Al Hosseiny” is an Egyptian Journalist and Tv Host. He received his bachelor’s degree in economics in 1997 and obtained an MA in International Economics from John Hopkins University in 2000 before working as a professor at the university. In 1998 he began his career as a presenter at the Egyptian State TV for a period of nine years. At the peak of the privatization of the media in Egypt, he worked as an anchor in several Egyptian channels including Al Mehwar TV and the private channel owned by the Arab League. Al Hosseiny worked at “Assaa” TV for two years hosting the morning show then the Arab and International press review program “Ink on Paper “and the main talk show of the channel. Youssef Al Hosseiny joined the first private radio station in Egypt “Nogoum FM “on 2004 as a presenter for its morning show then he got promoted to be the Programming Director for the station and Business Improvement Director. Al Hosseiny wrote many articles analysing Egyptian and Middle Eastern affairs for regional newspaper including newspapers like (Rose AL Youssef, Assafir, Youm 7, AL Sabah and Al Watan) When Al Hosseiny joined ON TV Channel during the Egyptian revolution in 2011, he followed a method this uncommon in Egypt when he personally filmed some of the television reports that broadcasted on his own show. A lot of the reports he filmed took place during violent clashes on the streets of Cairo during the January 25th revolution including Mohamed Mahmoud, and Abassia clashes. He also covered many of the clashes that took place in Tahrir Square. Youssef Al Hosseiny is the only Egyptian journalist who carried out a comprehensive coverage of the Syrian war through his presence in Aleppo during the shelling and he also reported from Damascus and Homs. He had interviewed the majority of the parties involved in the conflict such as members of the Al Nusra Front, ISIS, and soldiers from the Syrian army Youssef al-Hosseiny, also covered the Libyan war and interviewed members of ISIS captured by the army. Al Hosseiny produced two documentary films: “The Organization” revealed the true face of the Muslim Brotherhood International franchise in London. “The Emirate” documented the history of the Qatari Al Thani royal family and its ties to terrorist groups in the region. He received the medal of the Palestinian state in 2014 that was awarded to him by President Mahmoud Abbas for the “exceptional effort of covering the cause of the Palestinian people and the issue of the Arab-Israeli Conflict.” |
