Elizabeth "Zibby" Regan Allen is an American actress, writer, producer, and musician. Originally from Northern California, she now resides in Los Angeles. Allen is best known for her recurring role(s) in Disney's A.N.T. Farm, and she has appeared in many national commercials, including Emmy Award winning commercials such as Bud Light's "Swear Jar" and Super Bowl commercials.

Early life

Allen was born in Mountain View, California, where she grew up. She became involved in drama at a young age. She started by performing in school plays and musicals. Her first role in community theatre was "Molly" from "Annie." Allen worked with Peninsula Youth Theatre for much of her childhood and performed in places such as Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts and other Bay Area venues. Later, Allen studied and performed with the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco, California both in the Young Conservatory and the New Plays Program where she originated the roles of Shambahla in Constance Congdon's "Automata Pieta" and Rebecca in Timothy Mason's "Time on Fire."

Writing and producing career

Allen's short plays have been produced at the Elephant Theatre Company, Los Angeles, and she has optioned her first screenplay about a dead brother, a dead girlfriend and an unlikely life affirming friendship. In 2009, Allen was in production on a documentary called "Forever Love," capturing her personal quest to understand or, at least, gain a deeper clarity on what "Forever Love" actually means anymore by way of both intense self-scrutiny and interviewing other relationships, authors, and experts.

Acting career

After leaving the American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco, Allen moved to Los Angeles with hopes of establishing a career in television and film. By 2003, she landed her first role on a popular TV show, Without a Trace. Through the next ten years she appeared in dozens of commercials, television shows, and films.[1] By 2013, she landed a major role as a recurring character on Disney's A.N.T. Farm, playing the icy and child-hating businesswoman "Winter Maddox."[2] She also appeared in several episodes of Grey's Anatomy.

Music career

Allen is a singer-songwriter, pianist, and ukulele player. She currently performs in one band: "Socks and Chimes" (a Bear and a Pixie singing quirky love duets). Before playing in Socks and Chimes, she played in another band called "Bomb Your Face" (a melodramatic, experimental folk duo). Allen and her bandmates write all their own lyrics and music for their songs.
