Ziggie's Music is the oldest music store in Arizona. Located at 3309 North 3rd Street in Phoenix, Arizona, the store was founded by Ziggie Zardus in 1927. On September 21,1959, Duane Eddy purchased his Gretsch 6120 guitar from Zardus, and used the guitar on all of his hit records. Al Casey taught guitar at Ziggie's Music for many years until his death in 2006. The store is widely known in Arizona as a seller of accordions, guitars, amplifiers, and instruments for Latin music such as Bajo Sextos, Ziggie's Music is one of the few places in the Southwestern United States that offers repairs and services of accordions, and has one of the few remaining neon signs in Arizona. Noted customers over the years have included Waylon Jennings, Marty Robbins, Glen Campbell, Wayne Newton, Mike Condello, Alice Cooper, members of The Tubes, and Billy Zoom.
