Zorros Cetys Mexicali College Football' HistoryCentro de Enseñanza Técnica y Superior is a globally recognized university from the north of Mexico that was founded in 1961 by a group of visionary businessman with the purpose of providing a better level of education to the region.[1]The history of this football team dates from the year 1964 starting with the name Zorros and with their initial colors blue and white. This team has been through a lot of changes form the start of this program, the color changed within the past of a decade to the institution colors black, white and yellow, also the program has had 14 different head coaches. Zorros Mexicali was part of ONEFA until the year of 2011 when they entered Premier Conadeip in the Liberty Group in which they have obtained 4 championships(2011, 2013, 2015, 2017) since that date. [3] Fernando Fontes took the job of Head Coach (H.C.) from 2010 to 2015 obtaining 3 leading the team to five consecutive championship games which he won 3. In 2016, Juan Ángel Medina Garibay was named the new H.C. he had previous coaching jobs at higher level programs of the Independence group in teams like ITESM CEM and he comes to Mexicali with an ambitious vision of elevating the level of the program and create higher standards for football in the region. He leads the team to a championship in his second year at the job and he is focused on obtaining more with the past of time.
