Zuzana Trepková Paternostro (born 12 January 1944, Budapest, Hungary) is an art historian of Slovak origin. She has been living and working in Brazil since 1972, when she married a Brazilian man Jorge Guimarães Paternostro . [1] Zuzana Paternostro received a Masters and then a PhD in History and Theory of Art at the University of J. A. Komenský, Philosophical Faculty in Bratislava. She had worked for 36 years at the National Museum of Fine Arts in Rio de Janeiro as technician and curator – chief and senior – of the Department of Foreign Paintings. [2] She wrote many articles, dedicated to various subjects, from register of collections of decorative arts to articles about foreign art pieces in the deposit of the National Museum of Fine Arts. Zuzana is a member of National Association of Art Critics (ABCA), International Association of Art Critics (AICA), Regional Council for Museology, International Council for Museums (ICOM) and former member of the international council of Curators of Dutch and Flemish Art (CODART).
