Though the members go far back, the group known today as Drain Gang was formed under the name Gravity Boys Shield Gang in 2013. Musically, the group takes influence from various genres, including trap, hip hop, dance and trance. Their music has been described as an "emotionally charged take on R&B"[2]. All of the members also employ various vocal processing techniques, most notably autotune.[3] In addition to their musical output, the group is also known for releasing clothing and other fashion accessories.[4] While the individual members have collaborated frequently since the inception of the group in 2013, the first official Drain Gang release came in 2017 with the release of the album D&G.[5] Discography
