It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.[1] It is a two-story log and frame house with a one-story attached commercial building. It was built originally as a double pen log structure in c. 1840. It was expanded into side passage plan style in 1903, including with addition of a one-story rear frame ell. It has a one-story porch with Doric-style columns.[3] It was deemed "notable for its association with the White Mills resort complex and as an intact example of a rural doctor's office and residence."[2][3] References1. ^1 {{NRISref|version=2010a}} {{DEFAULTSORT:Carroll, Dr. Clyde, House}}{{National Register of Historic Places}}2. ^1 {{cite web|url={{NRHP url|id=88001803}}|title=Historic Resources of Hardin County: Dr.Clyde Carroll House (HD-177) |publisher=National Park Service|author=Philip Thomason |date=December 2, 1986 |accessdate=March 22, 2018}} With {{NRHP url|id=88001803|photos=y|title=three photos from 1983}}. 3. ^{{cite web|url={{NRHP url|id=64000226}}|title=National Register of Historic Places Inventory/Nomination: Hardin County Multiple Resource Area - Partial Inventory |publisher=National Park Service|author=Philip Thomason |date=December 2, 1986 |accessdate=March 22, 2018}} {{Kentucky-NRHP-stub}} 3 : National Register of Historic Places in Kentucky|Residential buildings completed in 1903|Hardin County, Kentucky |
