There is one doubtful record on Santiago in 1991. The extent of occurrence (EOO) is {{convert|45|km²|m²}} (excluding Santiago). It occurs from {{convert|480-870|m}} above sea level.[1] The plant is native to Ecuador and occurs in the humid zone.
