It is located {{convert|18|km|mi}} from NH 42 to Gudiakateni and old NH 42 is passed in the center of the Dudurkote. It is surrounded by reserve forest from the East, South and West.[5][6][7][8][9] It was a part of the Hindol princely State before independence. It is {{convert|60|km|mi}} from Dhenkanal. HistoryDudurkote is popularly known as Dudurkote Garha and old capital of Hindol princely State and is located the central part of Hindol subdivision. Duduorkote was old home to the Hindol princely state with the Orissa States Agency during British Raj. After East India Company occupied Orissa in September–October 1803 treaties were signed with estates of the region, including Dudurkote, Hindol.
