I don’t think the exhibition design is satisfactory at all - it seems to be [more] visual effect than scholarly effort. It seems to me to be an incoherent exhibition."[5] He was awarded the Lord Provost of Glasgow's Gold Medal for Education in 1998[6] and appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the 2000 New Year Honours, "for services to Art and Design".[7] The same year, he was made an honorary Doctor of Science by the University of Strathclyde.[6] A Companion of the Royal Aeronautical Society, he was granted the Baird of Bute Society's aviation award in 2013.[6] His paintings are in the collections of the National Museum of Flight, the Royal Navy Submarine Museum and the Fleet Air Arm Museum.[2] References1. ^1 2 3 {{cite web|url=http://www.gsaarchives.net/archon/?p=creators/creator&id=802|title=Cameron, Dugald (1939-)|publisher=Glasgow School of Art|accessdate=4 May 2017}} 2. ^1 {{cite web|url=https://artuk.org/discover/artworks/search/actor:cameron-dugald-b-1939|title=Dugald Cameron|publisher=Art UK|accessdate=4 May 2017}} 3. ^1 2 3 {{cite web|url=http://www.universitystory.gla.ac.uk/biography/?id=WH2903&type=P|title=Biography of Dugald Cameron|publisher=University of Glasgow|accessdate=4 May 2017}} 4. ^{{cite book|title=Looking at the Unborn: Historical aspects of obstetric ultrasound|url=http://www.histmodbiomed.org/witsem/vol5|year=2000|publisher=History of Modern Biomedicine Research Group|isbn=978-1-84129-011-9}} 5. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.heraldscotland.com/news/13033196.Transport_Museum_accused_of_going_off_the_rails/|title=Transport Museum accused of going off the rails|last=Leadbetter|first=Russell|date=7 July 2011|work=HeraldScotland|accessdate=4 May 2017}} 6. ^1 2 {{cite web|url=http://www.buteman.co.uk/news/professor-dugald-cameron-to-receive-baird-of-bute-society-s-aviation-award-1-3081897|title=Professor Dugald Cameron to receive Baird of Bute Society’s aviation award - The Buteman|last=Borland|first=Craig|date=8 September 2013|work=The Buteman|accessdate=4 May 2017}} 7. ^{{London Gazette|issue=55710|date=30 December 1999|pages=11–17 |supp=y}} External links
